Esharelife Supports The Hellenic Initiative – 8th Annual London Gala

On 3rd October 2024, Esharelife was honoured to support The Hellenic Initiative at its 8th Annual Gala. An evening of awards, philanthropy and music at London’s elegant The Dorchester, it was a wonderful celebration of the significant impact the organisation has had in recent years.

In a night filled with both entertainment and purpose, attendees were treated to unforgettable performances by Albanian-Greek artist Eleni Foureira and the much-loved DJ Andreas Michaelides from London Greek Radio. The event not only honoured the important causes of Food Bank Greece and New Agriculture New Generation but also celebrated those who work tirelessly for a better tomorrow. The honourees from The Hellenic Initiative are truly extraordinary individuals, dedicated to creating a sustainable future for Greece—building a stronger economy, empowering its people, and fostering a brighter, more hopeful path for generations to come.

Food Bank Greece’s work to reduce food insecurity has been responsible for serving 128,303 people, including children, migrants and the elderly. Alongside this success, the food bank has committed to limiting food waste, successfully preventing 876,316 tonnes of usable food from being destroyed. The Hellenic Initiative’s contributions to Food Bank Greece have led to 951,000 meals and over 81,000 glasses of milk being provided to those who need it most.

New Agriculture New Generation seeks to revitalise the Agrifood sector by training new generations of Agrifood experts. With The Hellenic Initiative’s support, New Agriculture New Generation has benefited 30,000 people and has had a €27 million impact on the Greek economy.

While these organisations were recognised at the event, they are by no means the only ones that have benefited from The Hellenic Initiative’s commitment. In total, $9.6 million has been spent on 184 grants for crisis relief, whilst $ 13 million has been invested into Greek economic development through 96 grants. This has had a wide range of positive impacts: the support of 19 scientific research teams with Cyprus Seeds, 12 new public hospitals with Bloode and the creation of 3,732 youth work placements alongside 850,000 hours of skills training with ReGeneration.

Esharelife has proudly maintained its commitment to supporting The Hellenic Initiative, recognizing the profound impact of its initiatives on education and community development. This year, we are especially enthusiastic about our collaboration, as it resonates deeply with our own mission to combat poverty and promote sustainable progress globally.

Our partnership with The Hellenic Initiative not only aims to enhance educational resources but also strives to inspire a shared vision of a better future, where every individual has the opportunity to succeed. Together, we are committed to building pathways to prosperity, ensuring that both current and future generations can achieve their fullest potential.
