Volunteer Management Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines and procedures for recruiting, engaging, supporting, and recognizing volunteers of Esharelife Foundation in a manner that promotes a positive and meaningful volunteer experience, while supporting the organization’s mission and objectives.

2. Principles

Respect: Esharelife Foundation values the time, skills, and contributions of its volunteers and will treat them with respect, dignity, and appreciation.

Inclusivity: The organization is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that embraces diversity and ensures equal opportunities for all volunteers, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other characteristics.

– Safety: Esharelife Foundation prioritizes the safety and well-being of its volunteers and will provide a safe and supportive environment for their participation in organizational activities.

– Empowerment: Volunteers will be empowered to contribute their unique skills, talents, and perspectives to advance the organization’s mission and goals, with opportunities for personal and professional development.

3. Volunteer Recruitment and Selection

– Needs Assessment: Esharelife Foundation will conduct regular assessments of its volunteer needs to identify roles and opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and objectives.

– Recruitment Strategies: The organization will utilize a variety of recruitment strategies to attract volunteers, including outreach through its website, social media, community events, and partnerships with schools, businesses, and other organizations.

– Selection Criteria: Volunteers will be selected based on their qualifications, skills, interests, availability, and alignment with the organization’s values and needs.

4. Volunteer Training and Orientation

– Orientation: All new volunteers will receive an orientation session to familiarize them with Esharelife Foundation’s mission, programs, policies, and procedures, as well as their roles and responsibilities as volunteers.

– Training: Volunteers may receive training and ongoing support to enhance their skills, knowledge, and effectiveness in their roles, as needed and appropriate.

5. Volunteer Supervision and Support

7. Volunteer Policies and Procedures

This volunteer management policy will be reviewed annually by the Board of Trustees to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Any proposed changes to the policy will require approval by the Board.

9. Compliance

Compliance with this policy is mandatory for all staff, volunteers, trustees, and representatives of Esharelife Foundation.

10. Enforcement

Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of volunteer status, depending on the severity of the infraction.
