Esharelife team visits University of Greater Manchester

On Friday, April 4th, 2025, Maria Wall and Anja Levanaj had the honour of representing Esharelife during a visit to the University of Greater Manchester. Esharelife extends its sincere thanks to Executive Director Mr Aris Matthaiou, Derek Rout, Dr Tony Keating, and Vice-Chancellor Professor George E. Holmes DL for their warm welcome and for hosting a tour of the University.

The visit began with an insightful tour of the National Centre for Motorsport Engineering—the only facility of its kind in the UK. Dr Keating provided a comprehensive overview of how the University fosters a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment. Students benefit from access to passionate tutors and engaging modules designed to support them in pursuing their dream careers.

In collaboration with Dot Motorcycles, students are given the opportunity to build and work on motorcycles from the ground up. The University also partners with a range of engineering firms, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in concept design, manufacturing, and performance engineering.

The visit continued with a tour of the University’s new state-of-the-art Medical School, located on the grounds of the Royal Bolton Hospital, which features some of the latest advancements in healthcare education. During the tour, Derek Rout, the University’s Executive Director of Facilities, shared insights into the University’s innovative approach to learning, which blends clinical experience with invaluable feedback from experienced faculty members.

Esharelife is truly grateful to the University of Greater Manchester for the opportunity to explore such a progressive and student-focused institution, where collaborative relationships between staff and students are nurtured daily. The charity is especially thankful for the University’s continued support of Esharelife’s mission to transform lives through education and opportunity.
