Charity Trustees Anti-Harassment And Bullying Policy

1. Purpose

Our charity is committed to providing a supportive, respectful, and safe environment for all individuals involved in our activities, including staff, volunteers, donors, beneficiaries, and anyone else associated with our organization. This policy aims to prevent and address harassment and bullying in all its forms within our charity.

The following behaviours are strictly prohibited:

  • Verbal, physical, or written harassment or bullying.
  • Offensive, derogatory, or discriminatory remarks, jokes, or gestures.
  • Sexual harassment or advances.
  • Threats, intimidation, or coercion.
  • Retaliation against individuals who report harassment or bullying.

5. Reporting Procedures

Anyone who experiences or witnesses harassment or bullying is encouraged to report it promptly. Reports can be made to any member of the charity’s leadership team, HR department, or through our designated reporting channels. Reports will be handled promptly, confidentially, and with sensitivity.

6. Investigation and Response

Upon receiving a report, the charity will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the facts of the situation. If harassment or bullying is substantiated, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken, up to and including termination of employment or volunteer status. The charity will also provide support to victims and take steps to prevent recurrence.

7. Confidentiality

The charity is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals involved in a harassment or bullying complaint. Information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis during the investigation process.

8. Training and Awareness
